Advanced FrameServer: Speed Up Your Rendering Workflow

Advanced FrameServer (AFS) is a plugin designed to pass raw video and audio frames directly from your Non-Linear Editor (NLE) timeline to an external encoder. It eliminates the need to render massive, time-consuming intermediate master files (like ProRes or DNxHR). Instead, it generates a tiny pseudo-file called a signpost file. When an external application reads this signpost file, AFS requests the corresponding frame from your NLE on the fly.

This setup allows you to leverage highly optimized encoding engines like FFmpeg, HandBrake, or StaxRip directly from NLEs like Adobe Premiere Pro or MAGIX VEGAS Pro. Step 1: Install the Requirements

To use Advanced FrameServer efficiently, install the following software packages on your system:

Advanced FrameServer Plugin: Download the latest build from the Advanced FrameServer Project Page.

AviSynth+ (Optional but Recommended): Install the 64-bit version of AviSynth+ to script advanced color space conversions (e.g., converting NLE output safely to Rec. 709 or YV12). External Encoder: Download FFmpeg, HandBrake, or StaxRip. Step 2: Configure the NLE Directories

During or after installation, you must ensure the plugin files are located in your video editor’s dedicated directories: For Adobe Premiere Pro Navigate to the AFS installation directory. Locate the file named dfscPremiereOut.prm.

Copy and paste this file into the common plug-ins folder:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore For MAGIX VEGAS Pro

Direct the installer to your VEGAS Pro root folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro XX</code>).

Ensure Dokan library support is ticked if prompted, which assists in creating the virtual virtual file system. Step 3: Trigger FrameServing from the Timeline

Once installed, your NLE will recognize Advanced FrameServer as a mock export format. Adobe Premiere & Advanced Frameserver - PR-видео
